Consequently, the SCCP is not in a position to perform a risk assessment of HC Red n 10 + HC Red n 11 because of the absence of a proper chemical characterisation of the test substance.

Key concerns: The mixture of HC Red n10 + HC Red n11 (COLIPA B71) is highly variable; the two compounds have different physico-chemical properties which possibly also affect toxicological properties.
